The device comes in a desktop case with silent heat pipe cooling and a 1U rack mount option. It has seven Gigabit ethernet ports, one combo Gigabit ethernet or SFP port, a serial console port, and a USB port.

The CCR1009-7G-1C-PC has its 1GB of of DDR3 800MHz RAM soldered directly to the motherboard. (Cannot be expanded.)
