They provide a low cost, low power and low latency interconnect solution for 10-Gigabit Ethernet, Fiber Channel and other industry standards, and are direct attached compliant and fully conform to the SFP+ MSA specifications.
It works with all our products with SFP/SFP+ ports.
NOTE: These are made with fiber optic cable and do provide perfect electrical isolation between interconnected routers and switches.
HINT: When connecting dissimilar port types such as a device with an SFP port to a device with an SFP+ port, be sure to disable Auto Negotiation, enable Full Duplex, set the Speed to 1Gbps, and turn off all Flow Control. Do this on both devices.
